Recreational fishing is a popular leisure activity
among the people of Taiwan. It not only brings
individuals closer to the ocean but also offers
opportunities to encounter many beautiful marine
species and experience a strong sense of
accomplishment.
Since 2018, the Ocean Conservation
Administration has established the iOcean
Marine Conservation Platform and launched the
Citizen Scientist Recreational Fishing Reporting
System. In 2021, an AI-based fish species
identification feature was introduced to further
enhance the platform.
Over the past few years, data collected through
fishing reports have helped identify the common
species encountered in different regions. On this
page, you can view the remarkable records
uploaded by anglers. Let’s dive in and explore
their fishing achievements together!
